As a Black writer working in the overwhelmingly white digital publication world—especially a writer who is just starting out—there are too many professional challenges you will face. Thankfully, you don’t have to embark on this journey alone, because the editors of RaceBaitr are here to help!

The creator of RaceBaitr, managing editor of Black Youth Project, and assistant editor of Vinyl Poetry & Prose, Hari has had their work published in Gawker, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Complex, Slate, Out, The Root, Ebony, Mic, Colorlines, Cassius Life, Paste Magazine, Black Girl Dangerous, The Feminist Wire, Everyday Feminism and AFROPUNK, among other publications. Their memoir, Black Boy Out of Time, is due out at the end of 2019 through Little A.

RaceBaitr Senior Editor Arielle Iniko Newton is a writer and organizer within the Movement for Black Lives. They began their writing career as the founder of Black Millennials, a digital hub for the cultural empowerment of young Black adults throughout the African Diaspora. Since then, their work has appeared on PBS NewsHour, Feministing, Colorlines and Essence.

The Black Bloggers Fundamentals Toolkit provides insights from their successful writing careers to help other Black writers throughout theirs.
